Any Suggestions in how to learn precalc by myself?

Ok....so i took precalc and quite frankly im the best at math. Science is more of my thing. But i was required to take the class and i managed a C+. What ever the teacher says nothing sinks in at all. And when i try to read the text book on my own. The Book makes even a bigger mess of what very little i understood. Is there a book out there like a self study guide of some sort that can help me learn the stuff on my own.

And another thing is there a way i can get a head start on calculus during the summer with some sort of book that i can buy from barnes and nobles.

Any Suggestions in how to learn precalc by myself?
Hi, I taught myself calc in high school, cause I didn't understand my teacher's teaching at all. I went to Barnes and Noble and found a "AP Calculus" study book that had all the information broken down into very easy to understand language.... then read it, made flashcards, and did the practice problems. It worked pretty good, and I learned it better than i could in class. good luck.
