I really wanna?

start to doing weights, (dumbbells or something) but I don't know how heavy they should be. Should i get ones that:

a) i can lift easy

B) that are pretty heavy, but can still manage to lift

c) get ones I can't lift at all (or have a lot of trouble lifting)

I really wanna?
go low weights even start with cans from your cabinets, always a good place to start
Reply:you should get weights that you can manage to lift. You should be able to lift them 20 times in a row..if you can't then their too heavy for you. If you get ones that are too light for you and you can lift very easily it's not going to benefit your muscles.
Reply:I think B and then once they turn into A, get another set of B and keep the cycle going.
Reply:Firstly it's how many reps you are doing with a weight that suits your body. Start off at A I think that would be about 3-5kg (arms) and work your way up until you find one that suits you. Just remember by doing B you will get the same result as C just less Pain:)_
Reply:Start light and then, if you want to, increase poundage slowly, adding 1 to 5 pounds every months or two
Reply:start out light, do that for a while, and then when you feel like you can, add a little bit at a time. if you don't take it easy at first you will burnout quick.
