Another laptop question..Please help!!?
Lately, Windows CD's are bootable... so you should be able to just put in a CD, THEN turn on the computer, and it should take you through the install. (as long as you don't just have the Upgrade version)... also, lately, the notebook usually comes with a Recovery CD or something like that.... basically, to recreate the drive as it was delivered from the factory. Usually, that's bootable too.
Reply:Insert the Windows XP into the CD drive and hit the boot menu key as soon as your computer starts up, when it displays the manufactures logo, it's usually F8 but make sure. Then boot from your CD drive and go from there, follow the wizard and everything should be fine.
Reply:if you have windows xp, you can just insert the disc and it will start the installation, but not on windows98, windowsME and windows2000..
