Human Resources! Please help....?
Human resources are the people that work at a company. Without those people you would not be able to function. The Human resource department is the people that hire and fire people, often do the payroll (could be accounting), handle benefits such as insurance and 401k, handle legal requirements such as employee records and often tax records. Some also handle safety issues as well.


Setting the amount of staff in a company is based upon forecasts that the company determines to be reasonably accurate. Sometimes you can use outside temporary agencies to smooth the ups and downs of the requirements. There are also sometimes people designated and trained to move from job to job depending on the requirements.


Without proper management of people, the company either has too much expense or not enough people to supply the needs of the customers. Either way, you can affect the future of the company.
