Will I get into a cruddy college if I get an F in English on my Freshmen year?

I'm good at English. I've had an A in the class every year except this one.


It's one of those teacher situations. She likes to be extra strict on her grading because at some point in the year i somehow managed to get on her "bad side".





Anyway, I got a C last symester and have an F right now.


I have Bs and As in all my other classes.





If I do well next year (especially in English) will this all just be a bad memory? Or is this F going to slightly screw up the rest of my life?

Aww, its ok. Just make sure you make up for it. Have an excellent GPA and keep your grades up, so it shows that you have improved and grown. I am wonderful in english, but recieved a D my sophmore year, and I got into a private university! =) So don't panic.
Reply:DO NOT put to much emphasis on it. Freshman year wont really matter that much if you try hard the other years. I started off sloppy in science with an F cause i hated a student teacher when I was a freshman. I ended up with a well over 3.5 gpa
Reply:As long as you improve it by your senior year you'll be fine, especially if it is your only poor grade.
