I have reimaged a user's machine with a pxe boot image off the work network. and in doing so managed to lose the files that the user had stored on his c:/ (since the reimage overites the partition, first deleting it).Is there any way to recover a partition that has been overwritten?
Major screwup need help?
Try using a file recovery program since there is a chance they are not really gone.
Reply:Its not true that when you delete a file its truly gone. But in a reimage its hard to say as most of the files would already be written over. The best bet you have is that the latest of his files will get found
