I feel like I ruined my chances of going to a good college...?

I'm a senior in high school, but this whole college thing is really stressing me out. I really ****** around for most of high school, and didn't get myself together til the end of junior year. My grades were mostly B's C's and a few D's. This year I've managed to get straight A's, but is it too little too late?

They make it seem like unless you have straight A's you're not getting into college. I really want to go to film school.. But are my chances ruined?

Colleges don't accept D's

You would have to take those classes over again to pass with a C or beter.

So, if you did make those D's up and the rest of your grades are A's B's and C's then you might be able to get into college

but I don't think you will be able to get into a really good/competitive school

DOn't stress out if you don't get into a "good college" right after high school

i seriously reccomend that you go to a community college first and get a fresh start, finish your general ed. there for a WAY cheaper price than any other university, and best of all you will have VERY good chances of getting into a great university after C.C.

C.C. students have priority over H.S. students

Good Luck and talk to a counselor if you still need help!
Reply:You may want to consider going to a community college to improve your grades and then transfer to a film school. This will make the transition more enjoyable, give you a chance to raise your GPA, and make your application to film school more competitive. Also, community college tuition is much less so you will save money in the long run.

Best wishes.
Reply:note this: they ONLY take into account your last year's courses. you'll be fine!
Reply:no you should get into a ok college.
Reply:Don't ever let anyone tell you it's over....it's too late....or you can't do it. If you must, go to a community college for a year...get your grades up, and transfer to where ever you want then. That's what I had to do....it took forever, but I'm graduating from college in May! :) Good luck.
