cut a long story short managed to get out of relationship few yrs later, one of the first things i did was cover up his name, went in, chose there %26amp; then (silly yes, but i was in a bit of a state) because of black writing they said the tattoo would need 2 be black, so i have a black "cute" duck above my sons name, with the 1st heart partly behind the duck %26amp; a couple a waves like water between the two, probably max lenght 1 %26amp; half inch %26amp; height 1 inch max, thing is i would love to change it, it doesnt look right to me, reminds me it's a cover up, can i have anything done? as it is mostly black? any ideas?

Tattoo cover up on cover up ? help!?
the best thing you can do is probably to get a very large coverup and that way you will have more options as to what you can get and the whole tattoo will not have to be black. there are many things that will work with tattoo coverups but you MUST have the right artist to do the tattoo. not every tattoo artist is good at a coverup! BUT because it is so close to your son's name you may end up having to cover that up as well but you could always have your sons name added somewhere else. go to a custom tattoo artist that has the talent to do a coverup and have them create something specifically for you.
Reply:i would go to an artist that you know does really good work. let him look at the tattoo and sit down and draw something to cover it, you might have to get your sons name covered to and then get it redone after the cover up is complete
Reply:Remember, it's a cover up. Check to see if you can have it removed. Then after the process is over, if you want, "replace" it with a new/fresh looking tattoo.

Good luck in your life, stay safe.
Reply:do you have a picture of the tat? can u send it?
Reply:No sorry.
