I have increased pressure in my boiler now it won't light, any ideas?

Just managed to get the pressure back up in my Ariston Microgenus Type C boiler (thanks people:) but now it won't start up, i just want hot water when we turn on the tap, i have pressed the reset button and switched on off but still not working........

I have increased pressure in my boiler now it won't light, any ideas?
If it is a gas ignitor it could be the thermocoupler causing this or, if electric ignition it might need a new ignitor. If gas try pressing it down lighting it on pilot and hold it for a few minutes rather than 1 minute if it lights great. But if it does,nt stay lit then it,s probably the thermocoupler.
Reply:the increase in pressure in your boiler is due to the domestic hot water coil in the boiler is starting to leak causing the boiler to increase it's pressure the best way out of this dangerous situation is to cap off the domestic lines and have a plumber install a proper size hot water heater that way you can keep the boiler from running during the hot months and use the boiler only for heating.
Reply:The pressure should be 1bar to 1.5bar cold. The boiler not coming on could be a number of things. Does the boiler spark when it is trying to light? If it does then i would say it is the gas valve. If it does not then it will be a number that need to be checked. Either way you will need a competent person to check this out, you can go to the Corgi website and look for an engineer near you, or you can phone them up
Reply:you may increased the pressure to much,

read instructions as to correct operating pressure

common 1-3bar
