I mean really now! "Honey, don't forget to bring home a gallon of milk", "I'm running late, I'll be there is 5 minutes", "HELP! My baby is choking!"
What did we do? How did we manage? How many people died b/c we couldn't call for help!
How did we survive without cel phones?
You don't miss something that you never had...You know like stuff that they will invent in twenty years we will wonder the same thing about...But what you have now doesn't concern you because you don't know about it yet. Life is a little easier with cell phones I must agree!! Oh I am so glad that the days of looking for a payphone, or running by a friends house to use the phone are over....Remember the bag phones people first put in their cars?? LOL it is funny to think about how far we have come!
Reply:It is a convenience not a necessity.
Reply:We can live without cell phones.
But sometimes the cell phones help us a lot.
Reply:Labtops, Email. We need some type of electronic communication. None of us could addjust to not having it.
Reply:How many people have died because someone was yapping on the phone while driving and not paying attention?
I survived just fine without one, and now I hate the one I have. I leave it off.
Reply:We survived relatively peacefully.
I admit, I like having a cellphone in case of an emergency. The only problem is, when you're in the middle of nowhere, with no one around to help (ie: where you really NEED a cellphone), you don't get any reception.
And yeah... people yapping while driving and the deluge of accidents caused by such...
I think it evens out.
Reply:Never had a problem as there was always a desk or home phone available. Infact due to this cellphone my private time has become less. Anyone can call me up even when I dont want to be found, they find me. :( I dont like using a cellphone, but I dont have a choice. I have to keep it ON and stand aloof while strangers murder my privacy.
Reply:Cell phones are terrible for calling 911 with, you're usually put on hold. People still had phones at work and at home.
