I've just asked a question and used the phrase "They managed to c.o.c.k it up" and this has been censored!

well you could have said messed it up the question would have been the same its just the yahoo rules again its crazy lets hope nobodys chicken hens or c**** get sick because you could never ask a question lol
Reply:Agree some words they will not allow but I think they should see how the question is asked like yours what else can you can a male chicken ☺
Reply:If you want to ask a poultry question you have to write out 'cockerel', or if that's a bit long you can type 'dick' and hope that people make the connection. If you're a smoker Yahoo is also detrimental, you can't pop down to smoke a fag, but you can injure your health more and pop down for two fags. You can't say **** but if you add 'hole' it's okay. You can't refer to a female as a slut but you can call her sluttish or accuse both her and her sister of being sluts.


But never mind, if it gets you down you can still say bastard sod bugger prick.





Seriously though aII I can think of, especially with c-ock, is that if it is in a question the question might then come up among porn sights in a search engine, being a sort of flashpoint word used in porn, like c-um, so maybe this is the rationale behind it, rather than trying to avoid offence.

Reply:Well, I think you have to be 13+ to sign up to yahoo. I'd assume they don't want 13 year olds to see said word. Not to mention people can find reasons to be offended by anything just to get someone in trouble. Yahoo is only protecting themselves.
