Furminator Review....E-X-C-E-L-L-E-N-T!!?

How did I ever manage without it?? I finally coughed up the cash to buy a furminator for my dogs. I got tired of the crazy shedding and decided to give it a twirl.





I would have never imagined a dog could have that much fur. My dogs were not trying to sit still at first then I think they figured out what was going on and they stood for 20 minutes getting brushed.......they look like they have been to a professional groomer.





I did my research and despite what the label said it seems most folks furminate then bathe their dogs, then brush with a magnetic. So I did the same and WOW.





Has anyone else tried the furminator?

We have a dogwash/grooming salon, and we purchased one for use by our clients, and we can't keep them on the shelves!





I have found, however, it really works for the double coated breeds (shelties, goldens)- but it works no better than a shedding blade on the single coats (labs, boxers, etc.)





But, NEVER use them on dogs that require "grooming" such as poodles, bichons, maltese, etc. I will destroy the coat.
Reply:Another downside to the furminator is if not used properly, this tool can cut or abrade the dog's skin severely. Remember that only SLIGHT pressure should be used. I am a professional groomer and have seen owners use these tools too vigorously and wonder why their dog's skin is bright pink with lacerations all over.
Reply:No, but after reading this I'm thinking I should get one.. I own a Collie, so you can just imagine how much hair she has lol.. And she sheds ALOT.. So.. after reading this, I might have to give it a whorl to see if it helps with the shedding.. Thanks..
Reply:Yes. The furminator is a god-send. It's a little pricey but if you shop around you can get a pretty good deal. There's nothing compared to what the furminator does to help ease shedding and make dogs look beautiful. Check the link below for the lowest prices on furminators
