Premature Births x 2 will it happen again?
Hi I am 27 wks and i am expecting my 3rd baby in March, however my first daughter was born at 33weeks (spontanious labour) and in breech via c-section and my second was born at 36 weeks breech and spontanious labour via c- section. I had gone into labour at 32 weeks with my second but they managed to stop the contractions with blood pressure medication. What are the odds that this will happen again? And what can you recommend to prevent this?
Premature Births x 2 will it happen again?
Katy
my daughter was born at 32 weeks. I went into labor at 30 weeks. I was put on hospital bed rest and given an IV. I am 25 weeks and yes it is defiantly a high risk pregnancy. My daughters visiting nurse told me the best indication that you will give birth early is if you had previously. My OBGYN plans for me to be on strict bed rest by 28 weeks. That falls on Christmas day... You should defiantly be monitored closely. I also recieve a weekly progestrone shot. Are they doing anything special like that for you? Visit the March of Dimes Share site. You will find all the support and answers you need there...
Good Luck
Edit: Go to that site. There are plenty of positive stories from moms that carried full term or very close after having preterm labor. As far as bed rest, would your insurance company consider paying for a home aid for a few months. In the long run it is less expensive than having a baby in the NICU. I am sure you can get a Dr's note saying it is medically nessasary!!! Just a thought. I was considering it for myself as I have a 3 year old. Then something else opened up for us... Good Luck. There is hope but you HAVE to find a way to take it easy!!!
Reply:You are definitely at higher risk for preterm labor given your history. There is really nothing you can do to prevent it from happening if it's going to happen. Surely your doctor gave you instructions for limiting activity or bedrest if they were concerned.
Good luck to you.
Reply:Your odds are high and I understand your concerns. All 4 of my Aunt's children were premature. No cause was identified. My scrapbooking friend had 2 premature children. Her uterine lining wasn't thick enough apparently. Complete bed rest the 2nd time around kept her second child in much longer so he only came 4 weeks early.
As far as prevention, I guess I would consult with a specialist to find out if there is anything YOU can do. For instance, if infection is the cause, can you take antibiotics to prevent early labor. Can you consider a terbutiline pump (used often by moms-to-be-of-multiples) to prevent contractions. Is this baby breech? If not, maybe it won't be a problem?
Reply:It might can happen again but then again it might not just keep doing what you doing, making sure that you're taking care of yourself and your child. I'm 22 and I had my 1st full term then I had a set of twins who were born at 36 weeks and then my second set of twins were born 36 weeks almost 37. But you will never know, it all depends on the baby
Good Luck I hope that you do manage to carry this one full terms

What's the chance for this team to win a default yahoo head-to-head league?
My fantasy team starts the season 8-9-3 after the first two weeks---by far the worst start of all yahoo head-to-head fantasy hockey teams that I have ever managed. The following players are on my team:
Martin Brodeur G
Jean-Sebastien Giguere G
Martin Gerber G
Sergei Gonchar D
Philippe Boucher D
Dion Phaneuf D
Andrej Meszaros D
Alexander Semin LW
Erik Cole LW
Daniel Carcillo LW
Patrice Bergeron C
Daymond Langkow C
Mike Modano C
Jason Pominville RW
Mike Knuble RW
David Vyborny RW
What are the problems with this team? How should I improve it (add/drop or trade)? If this roster is being intact for the whole season, what's the chance for this team winning a championship trophy in a yahoo head-to-head league?
Please advice. I need to win.
What's the chance for this team to win a default yahoo head-to-head league?
How many players are in your league? Your defense outshines your offense - you might shop around there. It's really difficult to give advice on which players to drop/add without knowing what players are available to claim off waivers/FA. Can you give a partial list of the players still available to take?

Downgrade Vista to XP; Acer Aspire 5315?
For christmas i had a new laptop (Acer Aspire 5315), preinstalled with Windows Vista Home Basic. I managed to fix a few problems but others i need help with such as my so called "out-of-date" drivers and software that just won't run in vista.
By default i have two harddrives, C: and D:. I partitioned C: and created a new B: volume which is empty ATM. I want to install Windows XP (have a CD) onto B: partition but i have problems which i just can't seem to fix.
1) I've put the CD in, reboot but the system boots from the OS not CDROM.
2) I changed the boot order to see if this would prevent problem #1 and set CDROM to the top. Still no luck, the OS boots again.
The CD isn't scratched or damaged, it's quite clean.
Anyone have any suggestions? I just can't seem to solve it and it's beginning to agrivate me.

Even If U R able to get XP on,,,might have some driver conflicts with the hardware....Need to get XP Compatible drivers and good luck with that....
Reply:press F8 as your system begins to boot up. This will take you to the bios. go to boot order and make sure the CD Rom is the first listed.

Win XP Installation Problem?
I have just reinstalled WinXP Home on a custom built PC bought from a local shop.
I went for a full install with the intention of totally formatting the C:\ with a fresh install. I have followed all the neccesary options to do this.
When I log on however it is though I am a new user but when I go to the C:\ via Win Explorer all the old folders are still there and under user profiles/doc settings the old user name is there also.
I need to format this and reinstall fresh which I managed no problem on an identical PC. When I am doing the rebuild I try and do it on C:\ this is the only partition other and a small partition.
Please help!

type Fdisk/MBR at the c prompt... then recreate the petition with fdisk...
beware this will wipe absolutely everything... takes about 15 seconds... it even wipes Linux installations...
good luck
Reply:sounds like you are going off the options that the XP install disk offers.
use safe mode and boot into command prompt only.
format c: from here.
if you have a win98 boot floppy that will run, use fdisk to fully delete the partition, then redo the partition (or 2) it will format fully.
then boot up after setting it to boot from cd.
will get a clean install then.
Reply:Start over. Put the install CD in the drive. Boot. When you get to disk partitioning, drop the primary partition. Once that is done, re-create it. Format it. Now, install.
Reply:i agree with "Kokopell…", delete the partition and then re create a new one, Windows Xp will automatically format the partition before resuming installation.
Reply:format the disc but this time all of it you put windows on a new part last time so format it again all of it and then reinstall windows
Reply:Have you tried Dban AKA Dirks Boot and Nuke Does it Fine :D
http://dban.sourceforge.net/ They Have a Floppy and a CD Version Just Burn it to a cd boot And Fomat just leave it in there for about 5 Minutes when everything is deleted unless you want TOTAL Destruction
Reply:delete the partition in the hard drive when it gives you that option and create a new one
Reply:seems like you only did a "quick format" as opposed to a full
1. Set windows boot sequence to have CDROM to boot first at DOS (set in BIOS)
2. Shut down with Windows XP in CDROM
3. Restart (Watch screen for “ Press any to boot from CD” pay attention you only have 10 seconds)
4. Let CD run
5. “Windows setup screen” Press “Enter” to continue. DO NOT press “R” for repair or “F3” for quit.
6. “Windows Licensing Agreement” Screen – Select F8 to agree
7. Installation Screen Press “ESC” for don’t repair
8. Delete Partition screen – delete all existing partitions,
Keep in mind that after formatting, Windows setup will automatically begin. (Let CD run)
Creating a second partion may be a good idea. If you ever have to reformat or reload the OS, you will not have to worry about your data. As long as you save your files to the second partition.
